since i left my +2 studies i always keep wondering how much money i spend in a day...i try to calculate and half the day i forget what i did spend on in the previous session :P...but yest i kept a record of things i spent on and how much i wasted and how much was spent for good :)..the total was even shocking for me it was nearly 8k :P....i will get bank reputed if i keep spending the money like that..but of the total i spent 5k on my poor lappy as its getting some bruises stitched :)...in the hospital :)...the remaining 3k let me give u some details abt it....the total may not exactly reach 3k around 3k or more :P...1.Cell Phone ....i keep spending more and more on this piece :P...i think i spent around 300 only for sms yest and some 200 for calls...i don't regret doing that...but some times a single sms or call may bring the lost smile on ur friends face :)...so the money was worth it :)...
2.Bike/car:Evening i roamed a lot which eventually lead to petrol loss of 500 :P...since if it was bike it would not have cost me that much but i went out in the car ..:P...well got to see some gals in the beach so not total loss :P..
3.Food: i am a foodholic i spent lot on good and junk food...:P...i went to spencers there i bought lot of junk ..like coke ,chips i cant remember all the junk but good food...i brought some fruits like mangoes,watermelon and pineapple and some grocery which my mom ordered...well the total went to around 800-1000...since i don only shop twice in a week...to lazy to go :P...
4.Dvds: i soo love to watch movies in my home theater and i always get so many dvds...i may be having downloads and dvds of around 2000 movies...or more i never count :P...i downloaded around 32 movies in 2 weeks last month :P..yest i went and brought some 3 dvds each costing around 100 :P...and total 300...
5.Photos: it has to be yest only that i got some pics printed out ....well i am not sending them to matrimony sites :P...or any gals family...just got them for my personal album :)..cost around 200 for some 30 pics....
6.Books:i brought some books like digit and chip and a novel :)...which cost me around 500-700 i don't remember the figure exactly :)...
7.Gift: it was one of friends birthday so gave him a gift cost not disclosed :P...
i don't know if the total makes up to 3k but around it i suppose :P...i always wondered wat would i do if i don't have money at all..may be i wont have a cell a lappy .....but u know at i will have ....i will have things that are not brought up with money

how much over we spent ...waste or do stupid things....i tell u one thing ....never leave the love of ur parents, always be a good friend/lover such the person should trust u,there would be a grp of friends to share the happiness and ask u to divide ur sadness and kick u for all the bad jokes :P and believe u for wat u r :)...so money is just a small part but don't waste the part much :)...
while i am writing this post its raining outside ..i wish to do the rain dance but afraid of the medicines cost after the rain :P...

Money should be spent on NEEDs, not so much on WANTs. Spend wisely Hemz. Cos we never know how our financial status wud be in a couple of years. I'm not asking u to be a miser...I hate that myself. I actually spend more than I should :). But I know where to draw the limit...and that limit is when I know Im buying something just for the heck of it. I dun do such things anymore. I think carefully if I really MUST buy whatever Im going to buy and then act accordingly. Save lil by lil. Some day, u will need that money. Thats how I bought my own place w.o. hvn to borrow from anyone.
Cells, lappys, gifts, food etc they r all things that we NEED in life. There's nothing wrong with spending a lil more on em. Cos I always believed that life is too short to be cheap :)
And I like what u said towards the end of the post. The most imp things in life dun reside in our bank balance or how much we hv in our wallet. It's all in the bonds we share with ppl in ur life.
Although Moneywise, I'd like to stand on my own 2 feet. Cos I dun like to borrow money from loved-ones. Money wrecks r'ships.

i had an exp already with a frnd who borrowed who misunderstood me and left me ...but i dont regret because i was not rong in my ways ...and i stand on my 2 feet :)..well dont know if i get a foot broken after marriage :P..heheh.

weekends are always filled with money spending i totally agree because in weekends in bangalore we roommates used to spend more then 5 k for movies and food only :)...

Oh ! Don't talk to me about expenses. Gets me all worked up and worried. No matter how much you try to control, it just flows out. But yeah, money spent on friends, loved ones, making memories, is always worth it .
I keep a log of everything we spend. Doesn't help much but at the end of the month ,we know what idiots we have been and the mistakes to avoid next month. And next month we end up making more...
For us, our usual expenses are on the weekends - eating out, roaming around, and groceries. Every 2,3 months shopping - books, clothes, things for the house. So not much frivolous expenses... but sometimes it's nice to pamper yourself with stuff that makes u happy !!! :D
