every one must be thinking whose birthday is today...and hemanth is doin another birthday post :P...its no friends birthday but..he is a good guy who got us this freedom ....yup none another than our Father of Nation Mr.Mohandas KaramChand Gandhi...most of the people dont know who he actually is..they say is he the same from munnaibhai....lol :P..actually it happened to me i went to relatives house and their kid was of 7 years old ..i was sort of asking him some questions and asked him who Gandhi is....he said is he the guy in munnabhai (telugu version ) ...he comes and goes like ghost ...i was first shocked and then tried to explain who he actually was ...and the boy took no interest..yup many of the kids dont know who gandhi is and they think its just a school holiday for us...parents just ignore the fact that their kids r not caring abt the people who did something to this country...after i get married i dont want my kids to be the same...i will send them to keshi who will teach them some leasons :P...just kiddin..keshi i really want my kids to be brave like u and my other frnds...:)....i mean i dont have kids rite now...after getting married :P...okok..jumping out of the post....So guys Please leave a post on Gandhiji wenever u think its rite time....:)..

whatever u told abt the little boy, is true yaar. not many of the kids know abt Gandhiji and not many parents care about teling them either.
last month wen we conducted a esay writing competetion the topic was the role model. we got many essays telling gandhiji to be their role model. but they didnt mention what is the inspiration he has given to the poeple of the country. tehy just know that he was something special for the country as a holiday is given on his birthday and as they are made to read about him in their class room.
the most important ethics and values that our father had left for us are no longer there. the word "peace" is just heard by us on some National Holidays like today. we never get to see it in real life.
we fight for ever small reason with someone who is frm he same country. but our father nver uttered a word against someone who nevr belonged to this country.
when will this country change??? or i think it would be better if i ask WILL IT CHANGE???

Well ! it reminded me of repeated telecast of "Gandhi " Movie on DD every oct 2. But I am glad it was made on Gandhi's real life and depicted our freedom struggle. But let's see the positive side to it , the kid atleast know the name of this man now .I still wonder , what would have happened , if we had followed Gandhi's wishes that his birthday or death anniversary shall never be declared as a holiday!Half this country without a public holiday and "gandhi street" in every town and village might have forgotten this man by now......We may say that! But I strongly believe that people like "Gandhi" don't fade away from memories of history that easy. The boy may never pay interest in knowing him, but when he grows up and works in a company , he might be visiting one of those parties arranged to celebrate "world day for non-violence " as declared by UN commemorating Gandhi ....well history is a cycle of events, it never ends.
